Course Overview

This course is aimed at personnel who are supervising the use of cabinet x-ray equipment, typically used for the inspection of baggage or cargo, on behalf of their organisation. It does not permit the repair or maintenance of equipment, or allow personnel to perform alignment procedures where safety interlocks are to be defeated. This course provides course participants with the skill and knowledge requirements for the radiation management of cabinet x-ray equipment including aspects such as: auditing and compliance; radiation monitoring; legislative compliance; and incident response.
