About this Course

NPWs are managed by the Commonwealth and regulated under the ARPANS Act.
At a State level, personnel working around NPWs may be subject to requirements of the Radiation Safety Act, and other ARPANSA Codes of Practice and
Safety Guides.
Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) legislation requires that companies provide workers with a safe system of work, which includes procedures; plans; training;
supervision; etc.
This ‘safe workplace’ concept requires that workers are provided with a level of training to allow them to understand hazards and risks that exist within the workplace.
