This 1 Day course is aimed at personnel who are supervising the use of Enclosed X-ray Equipment for Special Applications (Diamond Sorting), on behalf of their organisation.
This course provides course participants with the skill and knowledge requirements for the radiation management of Enclosed X-ray Equipment including aspects such as: auditing and compliance; radiation monitoring; legislative compliance; and incident response.
About this course
It is a requirement under the Radiation Safety Act 1975 that the use of Special Purpose X-ray Analysis (XRA) Equipment (Diamond Sorting) is performed under the supervision of a competent and licensed person. This course is aligned with the NHMRC (ARPANSA) RHS22 Statement on Enclosed X-ray Equipment for Special Applications (1987).
A moderate level of mathematical understanding is required to successfully complete this course.
